Ever since the Olympic Games were televised post-war, this world event has led to a major transformation of their host cities. However, with spiralling costs and the creation of a variety of ‘white elephants’, recent Games have evolved to focus more on long-term sustainable visions to manage their legacy.
Paris and Los Angeles have recently agreed to host the 2024 and 2028 Games respectively and the result will be ratified in September 2017. With major redevelopment already underway (including The Grand Paris project), this report looks at what the Games could mean for Paris and some of the opportunities for investors.
